Anonymous Account ID: A randomly generated identifier (e.g., ACC-XXXXXX) - no email or personal information required
Subtitle Content: Text you submit for translation (processed and not stored permanently)
Movie Selections: Which movies you search for (to fetch context for better translations)

Data We Do NOT Collect

Email addresses or personal identifiers
Browsing history or viewing habits
Payment or financial information
Location data
Cookies for tracking purposes

How We Use Data

Translate subtitles using AI models (Gemini, DeepSeek)
Fetch movie context from TMDB for accurate translations
Allow you to access community-shared translations

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except:

AI Translation Services: Subtitle text is sent to AI providers (Google Gemini, DeepSeek) for translation
TMDB: Movie search queries are sent to The Movie Database API

Community Translations

If you choose to share a translation with the community, it becomes publicly available. Shared translations are attributed to your anonymous account ID only.

Data Storage

Account data is stored securely on our servers
Uploaded subtitles are temporarily stored for processing and automatically deleted
Community translations are stored indefinitely unless removed

Your Rights

You can:

Delete your account and all associated data at any time
Remove translations you've shared
Use the service without creating an account (limited features)

Browser Extension Permissions

Our extension requests these permissions:

activeTab: To detect what video you're watching
storage: To save your preferences locally
Host permissions: To overlay subtitles on streaming sites
